Bobbi Trout Print

Bobbi was a charter member of the 99's and served with the Women's Air Reserve and the Civil Air Patrol. In January 1929, Bobbi set a new solo endurance record for women with a time of 12 hours, 11 minutes. She topped that in February with a new record of 17 hours, 24 minutes. In August of the same year, Bobbi raced in the first women's Transcontinental Air Derby alongside friends Amelia Earhart, Louise Thaden and Pancho Barnes.

She was an entrepreneur and inventor. During WWII, she developed a successful rivet sorting operation and later, a deburring service. Her eclectic interests include photography, architecture, real estate, stock speculation and a general love for tinkering.

Our design incorporates Bobbi's International Pilots License (signed by Orville Wright) which flew 3.4 million miles with Lt. Col. Eileen Collins, first woman to pilot the space shuttle, February 3-11, 1995. On that historic mission, Bobbi's license served as a reminder of women's ongoing contributions to aviation.

This limited edition, numbered, hand-screened design is printed on acid-free, textured, cream paper suitable for matting and framing and measures 11" x 17". A beautiful addition to any aviation art collection.
