Element:Earth/Anne Lindbergh
Anne Morrow became the wife of Charles Lindbergh after meeting him and becoming entranced by his vision, ambition and world view. She became his trusted confidant, editor, co-pilot, radioman and endured deep tragedy and soaring adventures. Her first child was abducted and killed in the greatest scandal of it's time and the publicity from that sad event drove the Lindberghs to Europe for a time. She subsequently bore four more children and wrote numerous award-winning books that became best sellers for their lyrical eloquence. She earned her glider license, the first woman in the US to do so, and traveled extensively to remote and sometimes dangerous parts of the world to assist her husband in opening new air routes around the world, which she meticulously documented in diaries and memoirs.
